Experience

Katja Estioko is a highly skilled professional with experience in project management, grants management, writing and editing, research, and teaching. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy and Program Administration.

Since December 2022, she has been working as a Project Technical Staff III (Senior Scholarship Grants Management Officer – SIKAP) at the Local Graduate Scholarships Office, Commission on Higher Education. In this role, she oversees, supervises, and monitors the implementation of the SIKAP Grant. She also serves as the lead liaison/coordinator with the CHED Regional Offices and other internal and external stakeholders of the CHED for related concerns, facilitates the conduct of engagement and events, prepares letters, forms, templates, and communications for various stakeholders, and coordinates and prepares reports on policy and process implementation issues.

Prior to this, from January to December 2022, Katja worked as a Project Technical Staff II (Grants Management Officer) at the same office. Her responsibilities included monitoring the compliance and implementation of CHED Regional Offices in Luzon for the Scholarships for Staff and Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) Grant, coordinating with designated staff, maintaining relevant databases, preparing necessary documents, and ensuring the proper transfer of financial privileges to SIKAP Grant scholars.

In addition to her work in the government sector, Katja is also a freelance content writer with six years of experience in creating outlines and articles based on research with the application of search engine optimization (SEO). She has also served as a writing and editing consultant for Nanyang Educational Supplies, where she reviewed and edited education materials related to the Sciences and Primary Mathematics.

From October 2018 to December 2021, Katja worked as a Project Technical Staff II (Monitoring and Evaluation Officer) for the CHED K to 12 Transition Program.
